From 2019 to 2021, I was the Location Art Director for the CBC series called Big Blue that was produced at Guru Studio.
This was an incredibly fun series to work on and I’m grateful to the show creator, Gyimah Gariba for bringing me on to the project. As the Location Art Director, I developed the final look of the environments and designed every location in these 56x11 minute episodes. I also directed both an internal and outsource layout team to keep the show backgrounds on style.
Along with Chris McDonald who was the Character Art Director and W. Scott Forbes, who was the Color Art Director, we created a fun, memorable underwater world for our heroes. Big Blue is available to watch on CBC Gem in Canada, Cartoon Network (Africa & Latin America) and Roku in the United States.
